About us
We're looking for a reliable, skilled handyman to keep our hotel in top shape and help give our guests a great stay.
The role
This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with extra shifts likely during peak seasons. You'll take care of a wide range of maintenance jobs in guest rooms, common areas and outdoor spaces. If you enjoy fixing things and take pride in your work, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you'll do
Carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance around the hotel and outdoor areas
Do minor plumbing jobs, routine air conditioning maintenance and equipment repairs
Keep painted surfaces looking fresh, with touch-ups and repainting as needed
Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff quickly and professionally
Report larger issues and help coordinate licensed trades when they're needed
About you
A positive attitude and pride in quality workmanship
Good communication skills, and you deal with problems before they become bigger ones
Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team
Current Australian working rights; your own basic tools and a driver's licence are a plus
Who this role suits
This role is a great fit if you want part-time hours with a good work-life balance. That could mean you're semi-retired, running your own small business, or just after steady, flexible work. If you like staying active and solving practical problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What's in it for you
Steady part-time hours, with extra shifts available in peak periods
Variety every day, so no two shifts are the same
A friendly, supportive team
