As Legal Counsel at Village Roadshow Theme Parks, you’ll support the commercial, operational and governance needs of some of Australia’s most iconic entertainment destinations, and see the results of your work every time the gates open.
Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you’ll provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters, with a strong focus on contract preparation, review, negotiation and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting broader legal matters as required, including intellectual property, trade marks, personal injury claims and commercial litigation.
- Administering and improving VRTP’s contract review process, including tracking progress, preparing documents for execution and maintaining accurate records.
- Identifying, assessing and escalating legal risk while building trusted relationships across the business and with external advisors.
What We're Looking For
- Admission as a solicitor with a current Queensland Law Society Practising Certificate and at least five years’ post-admission experience.
- Strong contract drafting, review, analysis and negotiation skills across commercial arrangements.
- Experience in process improvement, policy implementation, governance and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong administration and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with ERP or contract management system experience highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and a pragmatic, collaborative approach to balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes.
