The Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from current Security team members interested in stepping into a higher duties opportunity.
Reporting to the Security Coordinator, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the Security Night Shift, mentor Security Officers, and help ensure the ongoing safety and security of our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- When the park winds down, your leadership and vigilance step up. You’ll:
- Provide specialist knowledge on training related issues and topics for the security department.
- Follow all safely procedures, policies and signage to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Contribute significantly to the implementation of training evaluation processes.
- Require close collaboration and integration of activity with the Security Supervisor.
- Maintain patrol of grounds for the safety of the animals and property.
- Maintain gate house operations, such as visitor/contractor access control, registering of vehicles, issues of keys to appropriate persons, bag/boot checks, and ensure that written reports are completed each shift.
- What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced security professional who’s ready to step up after hours. You’ll bring:
Blue Card is essential * (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $108.30).
- Minimum 6-month experience as a Security Officer with Movie World
- Flexibility to work Night Shifts over periods of time when requested.
- Guest Service experience with effective communication skills and problem solving ability.
- Professional and friendly disposition with an ability to work under pressure, multi-task & meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn & utilise equipment such as computer & two-way radio.
- Incident report writing.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel
- Cash in Transit certificate
