We are the regulator of the Victorian legal profession. We license lawyers and oversee service standards and conduct. This includes handling complaints about lawyers, investigating poor conduct and overseeing management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria.

We are looking for a Senior Lawyer & Investigator to join our Discipline & Suitability team. You will investigate complex complaints about lawyers, manage related litigation and regulatory outcomes, and work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, impartial and appropriate outcomes.

We are looking for passionate and driven people to work with us as we continue to enhance our services to the Victorian public. We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Strong legislative interpretation skills and understanding of legal practice.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, manage workloads and handle complex litigation.
• Australian Lawyer admission or eligibility for a Victorian Practising Certificate, 4+ years PQE desirable.
