Responsibilities include:
- Student Engagement and Wellbeing Support: Provide direct mentoring and engagement support to Pasifika students across P-12, individually and in small groups, under the guidance of teaching and wellbeing staff. Support students to build positive relationships, self-confidence, and a strong sense of belonging at school.
- Cultural Connection and Advocacy: Act as a cultural liaison to support understanding of Pasifika cultures, values, and perspectives within the school community.
- Family and Community Engagement: Support communication and engagement between the school and Pasifika families, assisting families to understand school processes and available supports.
- Classroom and Program Support: Assist teachers and wellbeing staff with the delivery of engagement, wellbeing, or inclusion programs targeting Pasifika students.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report student engagement, attendance, and wellbeing concerns to relevant staff, maintaining appropriate records.
- Professional Conduct and Team Contribution: Work collaboratively as part of the education support, wellbeing, and inclusion teams.
