Vickery Bros Pty Ltd is an established regional agribusiness operating fertiliser supply, spreading, depots, logistics and fleet workshops across western Victoria and southeast South Australia; Coleraine-based team.
We are seeking an experienced qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic) comfortable with trucks, agricultural machinery and varied equipment in an established regional workshop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults in heavy diesel transport trucks, agricultural machinery and mobile plant
- Overhaul compression-ignition engines, turbochargers and fuel systems; repair brakes, transmissions, suspension, differentials, hydraulic pumps, rams and valves
- Conduct scheduled servicing, road tests and job card recording.
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120), relevant diesel engine trade qualification or recognised equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification heavy diesel mechanical experience
- HR or HC licence, or willingness to obtain for test driving; diagnostics, diesel powertrain, air brakes and hydraulics.
Benefits include:
- A salary of $70,000 - $90,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates
- Full-time ongoing work in established heavy fleet workshop
