We're looking for a committed and culturally knowledgeable Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to join our team and help create safer, stronger communities—one person at a time. In this vital role, you'll work with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, supporting individuals with complex needs and those who have committed serious offences. Using a strengths-based, culturally informed approach, you'll help guide them through their rehabilitation journey while contributing to positive outcomes for the broader community. You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we support Aboriginal clients—providing expert advice, developing cultural support plans, and working closely with Aboriginal organisations and the Koori Court.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
  • Creating tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
  • Assessing risk factors and developing individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
  • Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community-based teams on culturally safe and effective approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
  • Building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
  • Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.

About You:

We're seeking someone who brings a deep understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community, along with strong case management skills and a genuine passion for supporting others. You’ll have:

  • A proven ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.
  • Strong knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
  • Experience in applying evidence-based case management frameworks, especially with individuals with complex needs.
  • The ability to apply theory to practice—identifying risk, planning interventions, and supporting behaviour change.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
