Your Next Chapter in Veterinary Care Starts Here!

You know what it feels like when a veterinary team is waiting for answers. Diagnostic images have been submitted. Clinical history is essential. A treating veterinarian needs timely, accurate information to make important decisions. Somewhere, a concerned pet owner is waiting for news about a beloved animal.

At Vet's Choice Radiology (VCR), your work helps connect those moments.

We're seeking experienced veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians who excel at clinical coordination, attention to detail, and supporting exceptional patient care. This is an opportunity to apply your clinical knowledge in a different way, helping veterinary teams and board-certified veterinary specialists work together through a leading teleradiology service.

Your expertise won't be used at the treatment table. Instead, you'll play a critical role behind the scenes, helping ensure veterinary teams receive the information they need to care for their patients.

Choose a Schedule That Fits Your Lifestyle

Veterinary care never stops, and neither do we. VCR provides specialist teleradiology services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • Option 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Option 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Option 3: Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sunday 1:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

These schedules support U.S. Central Time operations. Working hours may vary by approximately one hour during daylight saving transitions in Australia and the United States. Employees receive an additional shift differential for designated weekend hours.

Picture Yourself on Shift

You won't be interpreting studies or making diagnoses. Instead, you'll be a key part of the workflow that helps veterinary specialists deliver timely, accurate diagnostic support.

  • Review imaging submissions for completeness, image quality, clinical history, and patient information before radiologist review.
  • Monitor workflow queues and identify issues that could impact turnaround times.
  • Communicate directly with veterinary clinics to obtain missing information, clarify requests, and document next steps.
  • Provide professional, responsive communication that helps veterinary professionals feel informed and supported.
  • Navigate Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Teams, and specialised radiology information systems to support efficient case management and exceptional service.

Training and Onboarding

Your success begins with structured support. You'll receive approximately four weeks of fully paid training alongside experienced Team Leads who will guide you through our systems, workflows, quality standards, and communication processes. This training is designed to help you develop confidence in the role and establish strong connections with your remote team from day one.

Requirements

If you're known for your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure, you'll thrive in this role.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Veterinary Technology qualification, or equivalent veterinary clinical qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of veterinary anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Confidence navigating multiple software systems and digital workflows.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Current unrestricted work rights in Australia.
  • Dedicated professional home office workspace.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Highly Regarded

Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous:

  • Emergency veterinary medicine.
  • Specialty or referral practice.
  • Diagnostic imaging.
  • Teleradiology operations.
  • High-volume clinical workflows.

If your experience doesn't perfectly align with every preferred qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

Why Join Vet's Choice Radiology?

  • Support veterinary teams and specialists in delivering timely, high-quality patient care.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote role while remaining connected to a collaborative and supportive team.
  • We'll provide the technology and equipment needed to perform your role successfully.
  • Develop specialised expertise in veterinary imaging operations, workflow coordination, customer experience, and global teleradiology services.
  • Join a team that values professionalism, collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and mutual respect.

Employees hired through our Employer of Record partner will receive employment benefits and statutory entitlements in accordance with Australian employment legislation, including annual leave, personal/carer's leave, public holiday entitlements, and superannuation contributions where applicable.

Meet Your Future Team

Our hiring process is straightforward, conversational, and designed to help both sides determine whether the opportunity is the right fit. You will have the opportunity to meet members of our Clinical Liaison leadership team, learn more about the role, and gain insight into what success looks like at VCR.
