About the Role
Vaughan Constructions is looking for a part-time Accounts Payable Team Leader - 12 Month Contract to run the AP function and keep payments accurate and on time. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll lead a small team of AP Officers and stay hands-on with the day-to-day.
What you'll do
Lead, allocate work to and review the performance of AP Officers
Match invoices to site instructions and orders, check them in Lentune and send them to Jobpac for approval
Chase sign-offs so payment terms are met
Review subcontractor and consultant claims before payment
Prepare EFT batches for weekly and monthly payment runs
Verify new bank details by phone
Be the go-to for creditor queries and resolve issues quickly
Reconcile creditor statements at month end and follow up discrepancies
Keep ABN, GST and insurance details compliant
Prepare final release letters for subcontractors
Set up new creditors in Jobpac
Escalate issues to the Financial Controller where needed
About you
5+ years in accounts payable
Proven experience managing a team
Construction industry experience (highly regarded)
Jobpac and Lentune experience (highly regarded)
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
Strong communicator who works well across departments
Self-motivated, organised and good at prioritising
