VA Sciences, one of Australia’s leading STEM consultancies, is seeking a New South Wales based, motivated and experienced Indoor Environmental Professional who has a background in building sciences to support the identification, design and delivery of support strategies aimed at identifying contamination from indoor environments. We are a rapidly growing business dedicated to excellence in its field. This role will challenge you to use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills daily, collaborate with clients and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You will be supported to contribute to both company goals and your own professional growth and learn alongside a team of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Engage face-to-face with government representatives, insurance professionals, and commercial and residential clients.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive assessments in both the built and natural environments.
- Adhere strictly to relevant occupational hygiene standards and best practices.
- Prepare and manage applicable sampling media and equipment, ensuring compliance to the internal quality management system.
- Collect samples and data using a variety of methods and techniques.
- Help interpret analytical results and data collected or provided.
- Assist in preparing detailed reports with evidence-based recommendations.
Qualifications and experience:
- Recent tertiary qualification in a S.T.E.M related field.
- Ability to interpret information and data, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders through technical report writing.
- Some experience (including academic experience e.g. through internships or coursework) in conducting occupational hygiene or science-based assessments across various disciplines.
- Strong technical writing and systems documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Eligibility for membership in an internationally industry recognised association (i.e. Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene) is highly desirable.
