We are currently seeking an experienced Air Freight Specialist to join a leading globallogisticsorganisation based in Alexandria. This is an excellent opportunity for a freightforwardingprofessional with strong air import and export experience who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Freight Forwarding Assistant Manager, you willbe responsible formanaging end-to-end air freight operations across multiple Australian regions, ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, compliantly and delivered to customers on time.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end air freight import and export operations across NSW, QLD, NT,WAand SA, with support for VIC asrequired;
- Coordinate cargo movements with airlines and Ground Handling Agents (GHA);
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays,discrepanciesand missing cargo issues;
- Process job registrations, Customs reporting and shipment documentation;
- Prepare invoices and manage supplier costs within requiredtimeframes;
- Liaise with customers, overseas agents, customs brokers,airlinesand internal stakeholders;
- Prepareaccuratequotations for import and export shipments;
- Ensure all freight movementscomply withcompany and regulatory requirements;
- Deliver exceptional customer service andmaintainregular communication with clients; and
- Support operational teams across the broader freightforwardingdivision asrequired.

Requirements
- Previousexperience in air freightforwarding, with strong exposure to both imports and exports;
- Mandatory experience usingCargoWiseandNewinssystems;
- Strong understanding of international freight forwarding operations and Customs processes;
- The ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities;
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach;
- Experience across sea freight operations will be highly regarded; and
- Dangerous Goods handling experience or IATA qualifications will beadvantageous.
