Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will lead the People & Learning function and a team of four, working closely with the CEO, Executive Director and senior leaders across the organisation. This is a pivotal role that balances strategic people initiatives with a strong operational HR remit, providing the opportunity to shape the organisation’s people strategy while remaining connected to managers and the broader workforce.

We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist and people leader who can balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You’ll be a genuine relationship builder who brings cultural adaptability, patience and a willingness to listen and learn. Experience within an Aboriginal organisation or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, however Djirra is open to candidates from broader sectors who can demonstrate strong cultural awareness, an ability to navigate complexity and a genuine alignment with Djirra’s purpose and values.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded, purpose-led organisation and play a key role in supporting Djirra through its next phase of growth and capability development. You’ll have genuine scope to shape the People & Learning function, strengthen leadership capability and make a meaningful contribution to an organisation delivering important outcomes for Aboriginal women and their children.
