Experienced Handyman / Sales Estimator - Property Maintenance
$40 - $60 per hour | Contractor (ABN) | Company Van & Tools Provided
About Us:
At Upright Property Maintenance, we've been servicing strata and real estate clients across Sydney for over 10 years. We're known for our professionalism, quality workmanship, and reliable service. With a strong reputation and a growing client base, we're expanding our team and looking for a motivated handyman/tradesman to join our trusted crew. We have a full time office admin team who organise scheduling of works and load onto our Job Management Application daily.
About the Role:
We're seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated handyman/sales estimator to carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks across residential and strata properties.
Typical Tasks Include (Handyman):
- Minor carpentry and repair works
- Basic tiling, patching, and painting
- Garden clean-ups and lawn care
- Minor plastering and gyprock repairs
- Rubbish removal and site clean-up
- Pressure Washing
- Make Safe Works
- Attend properties to inspect and assess maintenance issues.
- Identify problems and recommend suitable repair solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotes and scopes of work.
- Calculate labour, material and equipment costs.
- Take measurements, photos and notes during inspections.
- Liaise with tradespeople and suppliers for pricing.
- Communicate with property managers, strata managers and clients.
- Follow up on quotes and client enquiries.
- Identify additional maintenance work opportunities.
- Manage daily inspections and complete quotes on time.
- Have good knowledge of various trades and property maintenance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a relevant trade (minimum 5 years)
- Valid ABN
- Full unrestricted driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Well-presented, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently and manage your own jobs
- Willingness to work overtime on some Saturdays (optional)
