  • Ensure all designs are aligned to system standards, accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and usability best practices
  • Create graphics, icons, and other visual assets consistent with the design system
  • Provide documentation, handover materials, and training to internal staff to ensure continuity
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate design solutions

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing standardised design systems and components
  • Strong ability to design UX process flows for complex business processes
  • Experience creating graphics, icons, and visual assets for applications
  • Familiarity with Figma (highly regarded) and other design/prototyping tools
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines and designing for inclusive user experiences
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to guide and train internal teams

Key Deliverables

  • Review existing designs and styles, providing improvement feedback throughout the contract term
  • Develop new or updated designs for missing or inconsistent components
  • Create generic layout components for desktop, tablet, and mobile usage
  • Design UX flows for complex business processes
  • Deliver a complete UI component Design System

Why You Should Apply

  • Contribute to a high-profile government project with significant impact on public services
  • Work with a collaborative team of analysts, developers, and stakeholders
  • Influence the design standards across an entire government agency
  • Gain exposure to complex, large-scale applications and develop solutions that set the benchmark for future projects
