The Opportunity
Join UPA and make a real difference by helping older people live independently in their own homes while staying connected to their community. We provide person-centred care that promotes wellness, choice, and quality of life. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to safe, effective care and enriching the communities we serve. We currently have a Home Care Worker opportunity to join our Northern Rivers region team based in Ballina.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualised care using a person-centred approach as per client care plans
- Assist with personal care, medications, transport, and respite services
- Provide everyday living support such as domestic assistance, gardening, shopping, and meal preparation
- Complete accurate and timely reporting of client services
- Identify and report client risks via our incident management system
What You’ll Need:
- Certificate III in Individual Support and Aged Care (highly desirable)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
- Registered and insured vehicle
- Compassion, empathy, and a passion for helping others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence in using technology
