This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll architect and manage the standard equipment list and SOE, drive fleet patching and security posture, oversee student facing computer labs, and identify opportunities to introduce smarter, more cost-effective ways of delivering desktop services. You'll lead a small team, work closely with the Senior Manager Digital Infrastructure, and play a key role in strategic planning for Digital Infrastructure. • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders
  • Genuine Leadership capability - guiding teams, building culture, and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented environment
  • A strategic mindset - always looking for opportunities to innovate and continuously improve

This role sits within the Digital Infrastructure team, part of UNE's Technology and Digital Services (TDS) directorate - the team responsible for the technology platforms, infrastructure, and digital services that underpin everything from teaching and research to day-to-day operations. The work is diverse, challenging and genuinely rewarding. We're a small, tight knit team that works well together with high impact. From networks and cloud platforms to servers and end-user devices, what we do directly supports UNE's educational and research mission.
