The Opportunity: Based in Tamworth, UNE Partnerships are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Health Educator to join our growing VET in Schools (EVET) team. In this impactful role, you'll deliver training nationally recognised health qualifications to students across the region, including:

What you’ll do:

  • Support and empower students as they step out of the classroom and into their critical work placements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, host employers and community organisations across the region.

About you: You'll bring health industry expertise and a genuine passion for education and community impact. You may come from nursing, with a background working in general practice, aged care, primary health or another related setting β€” what matters most is your ability to connect with learners and bring your professional experience into the classroom.

Trainer Credentials: You have completed or are actively working towards completing your TAE40122 (or equivalent higher Adult/Vocational Education qualification). Successful candidates must provide proof of completion by February 2027.

Relevant Expertise:

  • Vocational or tertiary qualification in Nursing or Primary Health discipline, plus industry experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role that culture, identity, family and community play in supporting student outcomes.
  • Valid NSW Driver's Licence, with the ability to travel to schools and workshop locations as required.
  • Advanced First Aid & CPR, current at time of commencement in February 2027.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Highly valued:

  • Experience delivering and assessing VET programs face-to-face and online.
  • Confidence using Moodle and MS Teams.
