We’re Monica and Justin. We started Unbound Minds after years in places that talked about work-life balance and ran the opposite. So we built the one we wished we’d worked in.
The three things you’re actually checking
Pay - $130,000 to $160,000 in transparent bands, reviewed every year, guaranteed. Everything substantial gets billed. Reports, longer calls, case conferences, all of it.
Hours - Two to five days, your choice. We build the week around the right person, not the other way round. Client cancels at 2pm? That hour is yours for notes, not a gap we rush to fill.
Admin -A client care team runs booking, billing and scheduling. You get 90 minutes of protected admin every single day, and AI note-taking (with client consent) so your evenings come back.
The work itself
Interest-based caseloads. Tell us what you want more of and we route it to you. Strong in anxiety, trauma, relationships, parent work? That’s what fills your week, not whatever is left over.
Right now the tight spot is kids. More families want their children seen than we have room for. School refusal, anxiety, big feelings that have outgrown the household’s tools. If you’re confident in the room with a seven year old and just as comfortable with their parents afterwards, that’s the fit.
Supervision is monthly group plus 1 on 1, with a room full of colleagues for when a session lands heavy. You’ll have hard weeks. You won’t carry them on your own.
The rest

Who we’re after
An AHPRA-registered psychologist who does thoughtful clinical work and wants to do it somewhere sane. Ideally 2+ years. Earlier and good? Apply anyway. Heart, judgment and care for clients matter more to us than a perfect CV.
