Lead your own projects end-to-end across large-scale commercial work.

Step into a true leadership position with autonomy and influence.

Join a nationally recognised, design-led practice with a strong project pipeline.

If you’re at the point in your career where you’re already leading projects but not quite being given the recognition, autonomy, or scale you’re capable of, this is worth your attention.

Our client is a highly respected, design-led architectural practice with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand. For nearly three decades, they’ve operated in that rare space between bold ideas and real-world delivery, shaping everything from major commercial developments to meaningful, human-centred environments.

Right now, they’re looking for an Associate Architect who can step in and take ownership.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine leadership role, ideal for someone ready to move beyond “senior” and into broader influence.

You’ll be trusted to:

  • Lead projects from concept through to completion.
  • Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee program, delivery, and design integrity.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external consultants.
  • Make key decisions around budget, documentation, and delivery outcomes.

What Sets This Apart

  • Real project ownership – not just supporting someone else’s vision.
  • Strong pipeline of work across large-scale commercial projects.
  • Design + delivery balance – maintain design intent without compromising buildability.
  • Established, collaborative team that values accountability and initiative.
  • Clear pathway to leadership within a nationally recognised practice.

About You

You’re already operating at a senior level, but you’re ready for more.

  • Are a Registered Architect (or very close).
  • Have proven experience leading projects end-to-end.
  • Are confident managing clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Understand both design intent and technical delivery.
  • Bring a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
  • Most importantly—you take ownership. You don’t wait to be told.
