Are you great working as part of a team, love achieving quality outcomes, and enjoy operating machinery daily? Do you also love working outdoors, have an eye for detail, and a passion for the open space industry? Then we want to hear from you! We are looking for a 1st year apprentice to complete a cert III in Parks and Gardens as part of our ongoing long-term contract with Whittlesea City Council.
Key Responsibilities:
As a valued team member, you will be based out of our Epping Depot and be responsible for daily mowing/detailing of reserves and roadsides. Utilising our wide area mowers, out fronts and zero turns you will become a vital part of our team with your daily tasks including (but not limited to):
- Mowing as directed
- Brush cutting as directed
- Blowing Paths
- Litter Removal
- Hedging
- Weeding
- Chemical spraying
- Pruning
- Planting
- Mulching
- Monitoring flora health, treating appropriately
- Minor preventative maintenance on equipment and tools
Requirements:
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
