We are seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer with the capability and statutory qualifications to undertake Quarry Manager (QM) and Site Senior Executive (SSE) responsibilities at an established Western Australian iron ore operation.
The operation is entering its next phase of development, with a focus on increasing production, operational efficiency and the safe execution of mining activities.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical mining engineering capability with a practical, site-focused approach. You'll need to be comfortable working closely with operational teams, making decisions and taking ownership of outcomes.
The Role
Provide mining engineering expertise across day-to-day open-pit operations.
Fulfil Quarry Manager and Site Senior Executive responsibilities as required.
Oversee mine planning, scheduling and execution against production targets.
Work closely with mining contractors and site leadership to maintain safe, productive operations.
Monitor mining performance, identify constraints and implement practical improvements.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, mine plans and operational procedures.
Contribute to ongoing mine development, operational readiness and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
Relevant WA statutory qualifications and eligibility to undertake QM and SSE appointments.
Demonstrated experience in open-pit mining operations, ideally within iron ore.
Sound understanding of WA mining legislation and statutory obligations.
Strong mine planning and operational engineering capability.
Experience working with and managing mining contractors.
A practical, accountable approach with the confidence to engage across all levels of site operations.
Willingness to spend time in the field and take ownership of operational outcomes.
