At TSA Riley, we're a team of over 1,000 experts helping clients realise the transformative power of built assets. Across infrastructure, transport, health, education and property, our work shapes how communities connect, live, work and grow.
Delivering great projects starts with strong construction leadership. We're seeking a Project Manager to join our Queensland team, working client-side on major property and social infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional to transition into project management consultancy while remaining closely involved in project delivery, initially supporting a major healthcare infrastructure project.
About the role
We are looking for a construction-focused Project Manager to join our Queensland Property team and support the delivery of major property and social infrastructure projects.
Ideal for someone with strong builder-side experience, this role offers the opportunity to transition into client-side project management while remaining closely involved in construction delivery. Initially supporting a major healthcare infrastructure project, you'll work alongside clients, contractors and project stakeholders to help drive successful project outcomes.
What you'll do
You will act as a strong client-side presence throughout construction, monitoring site progress, construction methodology, programme performance, quality outcomes and project risks.
Working closely with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders, you will assess construction progress, coordinate project interfaces, participate in site meetings and workshops, and provide clear advice on delivery issues and risks.
The role will require a practical approach to problem-solving, balancing strong stakeholder relationships with the confidence to challenge contractor positions where required and support positive project outcomes.
About you

  • A qualification in construction, engineering, project management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Approximately 5-10 years' experience in building construction or project delivery.
  • Experience gained with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 head contractor or major commercial subcontractor.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, logistics, quality management and site coordination.
  • Confidence engaging with contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across project teams.
  • Experience across healthcare, education, social infrastructure, Defence or major commercial projects will be highly regarded.
  • Previous client-side consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to retain close involvement with project delivery while broadening their experience on the client side. You'll gain exposure to major Queensland projects, work alongside experienced project leaders, and benefit from a clear pathway for career progression within a growing national consultancy.
