We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Fabricator worker to join our Service / Pre Delivery Department, where you'll play a key role in preparing and customising some of the best trucks on the market.
About the Role
Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks prior to delivery.
This is an engaging, hands-on role that offers diverse work and the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with repair, manufacture or modify mechanical parts of trucks and trailers such as suspensions, chassis, and brackets
- Assist withfabrication / welding tasks – such as fitting of weight gauges, bumper bars, wheel base modification works, and the like
- Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
- Identify and advise of any additional work required
- Ensure work completed is checked and good quality
- Produce clear and concise report detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade
- Trade related experience in automotive industry
- Workshop related experience preferred
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Current Driver's Licence
- HR/HC Drivers Licence preferred
