We are currently seeking an exceptional Casual Chef with aprofessional manner to work within the Virgin Australia Lounges at BrisbaneDomestic Airport.
We are on a quest to find true hospitality professionals torepresent Trippas White Group and Virgin Australia. Working within our premiumairport lounge environments, your passion for food, attention to detail, andself-motivated attitude will support and drive the team to meet and exceed theexpectations of Virgin Australia and its valued guests.
This is a rare opportunity to represent an iconic Australianbrand within both a premium à la carte dining environment and a high-qualitylounge service setting.
The Role
This position will work across two lounge environments:
- VirginAustralia Lounge – Supporting simpler food preparation and servicealigned with the lounge offering
As a casual role, shifts will vary week to week and mayinclude a range of start times and days.
This is a casual position, with the potential for ongoing orpermanent employment for a high-performing and reliable team member, subject tooperational requirements.
Your key duties will include:
- Preparingand serving high-quality food in the Virgin Australia Lounge
- Ensuringall food items meet and exceed guest expectations
- Assistingwith menu development and refinement (Beyond Lounge)
- Maintainingimmaculate food presentation standards
- Ensuringkitchen hygiene, food safety, and OH&S compliance at all times
In order to hit the ground running, you will have:
- Minimumof 2 years' experience in fine dining, premium hospitality, or high-endhotel service
- Soundknowledge of food preparation and service standards
- Stronginterpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccablepresentation and grooming
- Solidunderstanding of OH&S and food hygiene practices
- CertificateIII in Commercial Cookery
- Yourown transport
- Flexibleavailability, including early morning starts (from approximately 3:30 am)across a 7-day roster
