We are seeking 2-3 reliable and motivated Tractor/Mower Operators to join our Parks & Gardens and Seasonal Grass Slashing Crew for the upcoming season.
This role involves operating tractors, mowers, and associated equipment across a range of parks, reserves, roadsides, and open spaces.
Successful applicants will work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with overtime opportunities available during peak periods.
For the right candidates, this position may lead to ongoing employment and a full-time role within our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractors, mowers, and grass slashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain parks, gardens, roadsides, and public open spaces.
- Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Work as part of a team while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Additional Opportunities
There may be opportunities to join our Summer Fire Crew Program.
Applicants with existing CFA qualifications and training are encouraged to apply; however, candidates willing to undertake CFA training will also be considered.
Additional seasonal work may also be available in weed management and spraying operations. An Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) would be highly regarded.
Skills & Experience
- The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential:
- Experience operating tractors, mowers, or similar plant and equipment.
- Mechanically minded with the ability to perform basic maintenance and fault finding.
- Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP).
- CFA training or firefighting experience.
- Chainsaw operation experience or relevant certification.
- Manual driver's licence.
- Current valid driver's licence.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
