$52.50 per hour | Monday to Friday | 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Transcend Workforce has opportunities for Experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join a busy manufacturer of Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs) in Bayswater.

About the role

Working the day shiftyou'll be involved in assembling high-quality truck-mounted equipment, including EWPs, vehicle bodies, trays, hydraulic systems and accessories.

What you'll be doing

• Assembling EWPs, vehicle trays, undertrays, hydraulic hoses, body components and accessories.
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Completing mechanical assembly work to a high standard.
• Operating overhead cranes and material-handling equipment safely once trained.
• Working with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe workplace.

What we're looking for

• Experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle body building, heavy equipment, manufacturing or a similar field is desirable.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous but not essential.
• A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, or a relevant qualification in bus, truck and trailer manufacturing, is preferred but not essential.
• A forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience is desirable.
• Full working rights in Australia
