What you’ll be responsible for
- Overseeing day-to-day finance processing and reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger transactions.
- Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end and year-end processes.
- Processing fortnightly payroll and maintaining payroll settings, award rates, classifications, allowances, and entitlements.
- Supporting compliance with the SCHADS Award and relevant payroll requirements.
- Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance commentary.
- Supporting budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts.

- Maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records.
- Providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and quality oversight to the Finance Officer.
- Identifying discrepancies and emerging financial issues and escalating material or complex matters when required.
About you
You’ll be an experienced finance professional who enjoys being hands-on, working with the detail and taking ownership of getting things done accurately and on time.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Experience using Xero and financial processing systems.
- Payroll processing experience and a strong understanding of payroll compliance.
- Experience applying the SCHADS Award in payroll or finance administration.
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and employee management/reporting systems.

Mosaic Multicultural Connections is a not-for-profit community organisation supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to participate fully in community life.
You’ll join an organisation where your finance and payroll expertise directly supports the teams delivering important services across our communities.
And with 30.4 hours across four days per week, this role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility while maintaining a genuine day away from work each week.
