Quick Summary
Looking for a skilled, organised Assistant that also has strong Canva skills to support a very niche business.
I'm a solo Business Consultant working daily with mid-sized commercial trades and service businesses to help them expand their opportunities. This isn't your typical admin role; it's B2B focused, centred around a wide range of both internal and external business development tasks. It's a great fit if you've got strong organisational skills, a design sense, are comfortable using AI tools, and you like a role with some variety in it.
Day to Day
- Managing workflow (BD tasks, emails, proposals, calendar, invoices etc) in the internal management system (Bonsai)
- Designing in Canva - capability statements, presentations, brochures, and other client collateral, plus social graphics and ads as required
- Using AI tools such as Claude as part of the regular content and admin workflow
- Developing content centred on project announcements, milestones, and industry events for clients
- Assist coordinating on-location shoots - props, logistics, and on-the-day organisation
- Managing organic posting on LinkedIn (and a small amount on Meta), focused on project updates and industry presence
- Running LinkedIn ad campaigns (training provided)
- Booking travel, accommodation and hire cars as required
- General basic admin tasks
What You'll Need
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients tasks and priorities
- Strong design sense and Canva expertise - comfortable producing polished documents such as capability statements and presentations, not just social tiles
- Experience in the use of AI tools such as Claude in your workflow
- Willingness to assist with onsite shoot-day logistics and coordination if required
- Comfortable writing for a B2B audience - trades, construction, and commercial services, rather than lifestyle content
- Solid understanding of LinkedIn platform
Worth Noting (before you apply)
- This is not working in a team and that's not for everyone
- It's a small 2 desk office on Glenferrie Rd in Hawthorn - also not for everyone
- The office is within walking distance to Glenferrie Station
- I read all cover letters so please reference any previous experience that relates to the above along with any additional skills that you think could be a good fit.
- The role requires strong dedication and reliability as I work with clients with big teams that rely on my output.
