My client is a multi-award-winning Brisbane builder that has been renovating and extending homes in the inner west for over 20 years. They’re a tight crew of 7, and they’re after a carpenter and a leading hand to join them.
The work is high-end renovations and extensions worth $1M–$3M. Expect classic Queenslanders that are being lifted, opened up and brought back to life, alongside modern rebuilds.
Each project runs 8 to 12 months, and they’re all within about 10km of Bardon: Paddington, Red Hill, Ashgrove, Auchenflower, Indooroopilly and Clayfield. You’ll spend more time on the tools and less time in traffic.
What’s on offer
- Leading Hand: $50–$55 p/h
- Hours are 6:30am–3:00pm, with plenty of overtime available
- A loyalty bonus paid out every year
- A small team where the directors are on site and know your name
- Meetings every two weeks to talk through what’s working and what isn’t. Your feedback gets heard and acted on.
What they’re looking for
- Qualified carpenter with renovation or high-end residential experience. Queenslander work is a big plus.
- Leading hand applicants: you’ve run a small crew and can keep a job moving without being chased
- Takes pride in finish quality and is respectful on clients’ homes
- White Card, current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Someone who wants to stay. This builder holds onto good people.
