We are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join our Engineering Division based at our Heatherbrae office. This is a full-time, office-based position supporting the design and delivery of electrical and mechanical fire protection systems across various commercial and industrial projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Producing detailed engineering and design drawings
- Preparing project documentation
- Supporting the Engineering team throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborating with engineers, internal and external stakeholders to develop accurate, compliant, and practical fire protection system designs
This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within a growing business, with ongoing support and professional development available. The role operates on a standard Monday to Friday work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for electrical and mechanical fire protection systems
- Develop layouts, schematics, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to deliver project outcomes
- Liaise with mining, industrial, and commercial customers to support design requirements and project delivery
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant Australian Standards, client specifications, and project requirements

Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience producing technical and engineering drawings
- Experience in drafting electrical and mechanical fire protection systems, or a willingness to learn
