About the role:
Our established and growing team is looking for a qualified and experienced full-time Motor Mechanic with 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various motor vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
The position will offer a competitive base salary of AUD 80,000 plus superannuation.
The successful candidates should:
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components and check parts.
- Service vehicles according to manufacturer’s guidelines and manuals.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune- ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Minimum Trade-level Qualification in Automotive Technology is required
- Minimum of 1+ year experience
