Tomas Built has been transforming homes across the North Shore and Northern Beaches for the past 2 years. We specialise in high-end bathrooms, laundries and ensuites, and we take pride in finishes that make clients want to show off their new space. Business is growing fast, and we're looking for a Lead Tiler to set the standard on site.
The role
You'll be the go-to tiling expert on our jobs, owning the finish from set-out to final grout. You'll work closely with our plumbers, waterproofers and project managers so every job runs smoothly and comes in on time. We're open to a full-time employee or a contractor on an ABN, whichever suits you best.
What you'll be doing
- Setting out and laying wall and floor tiles to a premium finish, including large-format, mosaics, feature walls and niches
- Screeding, falls to waste and working with linear drains
- Reading plans and planning tile layouts to keep cuts minimal and symmetry spot-on
- Liaising with clients on site in a friendly, professional way
- Keeping sites clean, safe and running to schedule
What you'll bring
- Trade qualification in wall and floor tiling (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years' experience, ideally in residential bathroom renovations
- A perfectionist eye for detail. Your lines are straight and your corners are clean.
- The confidence to run a job on your own and keep it moving
- White Card, current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
- ABN and relevant insurances if contracting
- Waterproofing licence/experience is a big bonus
