TOM People have partnered with a growing financial institution to appoint a Senior Tax Manager in a visible, high-impact role. This position will see you play a pivotal role in shaping strategic tax decisions, advising senior management, and strengthening the organisation's tax governance framework. You'll drive process improvement through data‐led insights while leading a small, high‐performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end‐to‐end tax advisory across income tax, GST, FBT, payroll, and withholding tax
- Oversee the tax governance framework, policies, and risk management practices
- Liaise with the ATO and external advisors on compliance reviews and audits
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to align tax strategies with broader objectives
- Leverage data and technology to streamline reporting and enhance accuracy
- Manage, mentor, and develop one direct report
About You
- CA / CPA qualified, ideally Big 4 trained with subsequent in‐house financial services experience
- Proven expertise in tax advisory and compliance across Australian tax legislation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, solutions‐driven mindset
- Strong analytical and data‐driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Confident communicator who can influence and advise senior stakeholders
