Boilermaker / Welder – Casual (Potential Permanent Opportunities)
Primary Location: Abbot Point Operations, Bowen QLD
Additional Locations: Various mine sites throughout Central Queensland, as required for shutdown and project works.
Employment Type: Casual, with the opportunity to transition into permanent employment based on performance, suitability and ongoing operational requirements.
Roster: Project-dependent rosters, primarily aligned with existing site arrangements, including 5/2, 10/4 rosters and potential day/night shifts.

What we require from you:
- Certificate III in Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in structural steel fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair.
- Competency in FCAW, GMAW, MIG, TIG and/or MMA welding processes, particularly structural welding.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details and repair specifications.
- Current driver's licence.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to pass relevant pre-employment medical assessments and site fitness-for-work requirements.
Highly Regarded:
- Previous experience working in mining, heavy industry, ports or shutdown environments.
- Working at Heights, GTA, & Confined Space Entry qualifications.
- High Risk Work Licences, including forklift, MR/HR, EWP, dogging or rigging.
- Current mine site inductions.
- Experience with structural remediation, corrosion repairs and working within operational facilities.
- Ability to work effectively alongside scaffold, blasting and painting crews.
