The firm has approximately 900 partners and staff nationally, and offers a dynamic, friendly and professional work environment. We are passionate about constantly providing value to our clients - their success is our priority.

This role reports to our Finance Managers based in Brisbane and Adelaide and works closely with Finance team members across all offices nationally. The successful candidate can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth. This is a true generalist finance role, not purely Accounts Payable.

  • Processing accounts payable (entering invoices and preparing daily payments)
  • Managing accounts receivable and staff/client disbursements
  • Completing daily banking and payment reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations for allocated accounts
  • Maintaining trust accounts and assisting with end-of-month billings
  • Managing the Finance help desk and responding to queries from internal stakeholders

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, where priorities can shift quickly. The ideal candidate will thrive on variety, work well under pressure, and take ownership of their responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident managing competing deadlines in a busy environment
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
  • Experienced in a similar finance or accounting support role, ideally in a corporate or professional services setting
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive national team

As a leading national firm, we offer an opportunity to work with a strong and established client base, genuine growth trajectories, and a variety of benefits including: interesting and challenging pro bono opportunities, flexible working, generous parental leave, flu vaccinations and skin checks annually, study assistance, sophisticated employee assistance program, corporate discounts, variety of social activities including EOFY and end of year functions, sporting teams and much more.

We have a collaborative approach to all we do, based fundamentally on openness, transparency, respect and accountability, so that our team is taken care and we get the best outcomes for our clients.
