About the Role
The Zimmermann Oz Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Qualified Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis, working across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
We specialise in high-performance, energy-efficient residential construction, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, building performance and sustainable building practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry works, including framing, roofing, installation of doors, windows, cabinetry and other timber components.
- Read and interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors and other tradespeople.
- Apply high-performance and energy-efficient construction techniques.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and professional condition.
- Identify and resolve construction issues to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Skills and Experience Required
- Certificate III or IV in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in residential carpentry.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with high-performance construction, Passive House principles or European building techniques will be highly regarded.
Location: Geebung, Brisbane QLD, with work across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: AUD $45–$50 per hour (subject to final confirmation).
