The Wild Movement is a boutique strength and conditioning facility in Milton, Brisbane, approaching our tenth year of helping people move better, build strength and develop lifelong training habits. Our clients aren't just memberships or numbers on a screen; they're people with families, careers, challenges and goals. Our job is to help them become the strongest version of themselves.

This is an opportunity to join an established team of coaches who value their profession, enjoy collaborating and genuinely care about the people they work with. You’ll coach small-group personal training sessions, working with a maximum of eight clients. Our approach combines individualised coaching with the energy, connection and accountability of training in a group. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, learn from experienced coaches and contribute to a community that values health, performance and personal growth.

For an exceptional candidate seeking a full-time coaching career, we’re open to discussing that pathway too.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coaching small-group strength and conditioning sessions, with a strong emphasis on individual attention and movement quality.
  • Building relationships with clients and helping them stay consistent, confident and engaged in their training.
  • Teaching and developing fundamental movement patterns, strength, bodyweight skills and physical capacity.
  • Adapting training to suit different abilities, training histories and individual goals.
  • Working collaboratively with our coaching team to deliver a consistently high standard of service.
  • Participating in paid team meetings, professional development and ongoing education.
  • Contributing to client onboarding, progress reviews and the overall member experience.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities over time, depending on your strengths and interests.

Why join The Wild Movement?

  • A coaching environment that values quality.
  • A team that takes development seriously.
  • A culture built around learning.
  • A meaningful client base.
  • A role that can grow with you.
  • A workplace that values the person behind the coach.

Our approach:

  • Pack Strength: Individualised small-group strength and conditioning, built around progressive training and long-term physical development.
  • Pack Skill: Small-group bodyweight and movement training, developing strength, control, coordination and physical confidence.

Our broader philosophy is centred on helping people reconnect with the fundamentals of health: movement, strength, community and consistent habits. We use technology to support the coaching experience, but we believe human connection, individual attention and accountability remain at the heart of great training.

Who we're looking for:

  • A coach who combines technical competence with genuine care for people.
  • A Certificate IV in Fitness or a higher relevant qualification.
  • At least two years of experience in personal training or group training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to coach fundamental movement patterns and scale exercises to suit different clients.
  • A growth mindset and a genuine interest in health, strength and human performance.
  • The professionalism to take ownership, follow through and contribute to a team.
  • A commitment to practising what you preach and continuing to develop your craft.
  • Australian working rights appropriate to the position.

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • A university qualification in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or a related discipline.
  • Additional qualifications in health coaching, nutrition coaching or related fields.
  • Experience working with adults returning to exercise, managing common training limitations or building long‑term exercise habits.
  • An interest in developing into a senior coaching, mentoring or operational role.

Hours, remuneration and development:

  • Part‑time or full‑time arrangements considered.
  • Approximately 15–30 hours per week initially, depending on experience, availability and the agreed role.
  • A combination of early mornings, day shifts and selected evening shifts, with the final roster agreed together.
  • Paid time for relevant team meetings and professional development.
  • Employee benefits, including applicable superannuation and leave entitlements.
  • Remuneration commensurate with qualifications, experience and responsibilities.
  • Opportunities to expand hours and take on greater responsibility as the role develops.

If you’re passionate about coaching, care about people and want to be part of a team that takes its work seriously without taking itself too seriously, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us a little about your coaching background, what you enjoy most about working with clients, and what you’re looking for in your next role.
