Full-time opportunity | Nights & Early Mornings
West End Tavern is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Manager to join our management team.
This is a gaming-focused management position, working predominantly nights and early mornings. You will play a key role in overseeing gaming operations, leading the team and ensuring all gaming, liquor and operational compliance requirements are met.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the venue during your shifts, with the confidence and ability to make decisions independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Oversee the day-to-day running of gaming operations.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Monitor gaming performance, turnover and operational results.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Manage EFT gaming payouts and ensure correct procedures are followed.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Complete and oversee ARMs reporting and required documentation.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Maintain AML/CTF compliance, including customer identification and reporting requirements.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Ensure Responsible Gambling policies and procedures are followed.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Maintain Gaming Care folders and all required gaming records.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Ensure Facial Recognition Terminal procedures are followed.
- Gaming Operations & Compliance: Monitor gaming floor presentation, service and staff performance.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Lead, supervise and support gaming and bar staff.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Take responsibility for the venue during assigned shifts.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Handle customer enquiries, complaints and escalations.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Ensure liquor licensing, RSA, RSG and WHS requirements are maintained.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Assist with rostering, staff training and performance management.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Monitor stock control, ordering and general venue standards.
- Leadership & Venue Operations: Work alongside the Venue Manager to achieve operational targets.
About You
- Previous experience in a gaming-focused hospitality management role.
- Strong knowledge of gaming compliance and South Australian gaming regulations.
- Experience with EFT payouts, ARMs reporting and AML/CTF requirements.
- Understanding of Responsible Gambling practices and procedures.
- Experience with gaming systems and Facial Recognition Terminals.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage staff confidently.
- Strong administration, reporting and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Current RSA.
- Current RSG.
- Demonstrated gaming industry experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Availability to work nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
