We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in Torquay, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organisation across our resort. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas are impeccably presented and that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Follow up on inspection results and guest feedback with team members, recognising what’s going well and providing clear, constructive feedback where standards haven’t been met.
- Identify training needs and deliver one-on-one or refresher training to help team members build confidence and consistently meet our presentation standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping role is essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- A supportive leadership style, with the confidence to give honest, respectful feedback and to coach team members to learn and improve.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
- Availability to work at least one weekend day each week (both preferred), along with flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays.
