At The Salvation Army, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. We're looking for a passionate and driven ICMI Case Manager to join our Homelessness East team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. In this rewarding outreach-based role, you'll provide intensive, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them secure and sustain safe, affordable housing while reducing their reliance on the homelessness service system. Working alongside clients, you'll empower them to achieve their goals, strengthen community connections, and create lasting positive change.

As a Case Manager in Intensive Case Management Initiative (ICMI), you'll work closely with clients through outreach and intensive support sessions, delivering holistic case management that responds to their unique circumstances, vulnerabilities, and aspirations. You'll develop tailored case and safety plans, coordinate access to specialist services, advocate on behalf of clients, and provide practical support to help people achieve stable housing outcomes. Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent full-time opportunity, based on-site in Leongatha, VIC.

How you will make an impact:

  • Deliver intensive, strengths-based case management support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
  • Develop person-centred case plans, safety plans, and housing action plans that support sustainable outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships through regular outreach and ongoing engagement.
  • Connect clients with community, health, housing, and specialist support services.
  • Advocate for clients to access the support they need to thrive.
  • Assess and respond to client risks, needs, and changing circumstances.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all clients, including LGBTIQA+ communities.

What you will bring:

  • A qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Welfare, Community Development, or a related discipline; or demonstrated sector experience, knowledge, and capability gained through previous roles, training, and professional development.
  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or complex support needs will be highly regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal, advocacy, and case management skills.
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred practice and social justice.
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.

What we offer:

  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free plus $2,650 meal entertainment benefits.
  • Generous parental leave for primary and secondary carers.
  • Purchased leave options of up to 8 weeks per year.
  • Access to Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ongoing professional development, training and career progression opportunities.
  • Opportunity to experience other Salvation Army programs through additional paid leave.
  • Dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employee support programs and cultural leave provisions.
  • A purpose-driven career where your work creates real impact in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

Why Join The Salvation Army?

This is an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation that is committed to supporting some of the community's most vulnerable people. Every day, you'll have the chance to create meaningful impact, collaborate with a dedicated team, and help individuals take important steps towards stability, safety, and independence.
