I'm partnering with a well-regarded Australian consultancy that helps organisations get real value from their customer data, CRM and marketing technology. They also specialise in consent and preference management, which matters more every year as privacy legislation tighten.
This is a boutique firm with a specialist team and clients across several verticals including higher education, retail, digital and SaaS. They're growing and looking for an early-career consultant who wants to build practical skills, work alongside experienced people and get involved in real client projects from day one.
The role
This is a hands-on role. You'll work closely with a Senior or Principal Consultant, helping turn agreed solutions into working platforms, customer journeys, reporting and useful insights.
You won't be expected to lead the architecture or own the strategic client relationship from the outset. You'll take responsibility for well-defined pieces of delivery, join client conversations and build your confidence with support.
As your experience grows, so will your scope, with the opportunity to move into more client-facing and solution-shaping work over time.
In practice, you will:
- Build and configure audience segments, campaigns and customer journeys in CDP, CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Help implement platform configurations, data mappings and reporting setups.
- Build dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
- Analyse customer and campaign data and turn it into clear, practical summaries.
- Test configurations, check data flows and troubleshoot issues.
- Support digital privacy audits using established tools and frameworks.
- Prepare materials for client workshops and attend alongside your Senior Consultant.
- Keep documentation and delivery updates accurate, and become a reliable day-to-day contact for operational questions.
About you
You might already be working in marketing operations, CRM, analytics or digital delivery. You could also be coming from an internship, relevant study or platform certifications, with practical projects that show what you can do.
You'll bring:
- Some hands-on exposure to a CRM, CDP, marketing automation or similar customer-data platform.
- Confidence working with data—whether that's building segments, pulling reports, using spreadsheets or writing basic SQL.
- Familiarity with an analytics or reporting tool such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
- Clear communication and the confidence to ask questions when something isn't clear.
- Genuine curiosity about how customer data, technology and marketing fit together.
You don't need years of consulting experience or expertise across every platform. Demonstrated interest, some practical exposure and a willingness to learn matter more.
What's on offer:
- Direct involvement in real client work, including ASX50 organisations.
- Support and mentoring from experienced consultants.
- Exposure across customer data, CRM, marketing technology and privacy—not just one narrow task.
- The chance to learn how customer data moves from collection and identity through to segmentation, activation and measurement.
- A role designed to grow with you as you develop greater independence and consulting capability.
If you enjoy getting into the detail, solving problems and understanding why a solution works—not just following the steps—this could be a great next move.
