Take pride in looking after homes that matter. At The Place For Belonging, we support people with disability to live independently in homes they can feel proud of. Creating that environment goes beyond the support we provide each day. It also means keeping our homes and gardens safe, well maintained and welcoming.

We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands that every lawn mowed, garden cared for and repair completed helps create a place where people feel comfortable, respected and at home. This is a hands-on role for someone who is practical, dependable and enjoys working outdoors. You're the kind of person who notices the little things, takes ownership of your work and gets satisfaction from leaving every property looking better than when you arrived.

Gardening is a big part of the role, but it's not the whole job. You'll also carry out general property maintenance and help keep our fleet of vehicles safe, reliable and ready for the road. Together, these responsibilities ensure our homes remain welcoming and our team has the vehicles they need to deliver safe, reliable support across our communities.

You'll manage your own schedule, work across multiple locations and be trusted to maintain our homes and vehicles to a consistently high standard. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: creating safe, well cared for environments that support people to live well.

No two days are the same. One day you might be mowing lawns and pruning gardens. The next you could be repairing a gate, arranging a vehicle service or preparing a property for a new participant. If you enjoy variety and like getting things done, you'll fit right in.

  • Lawn mowing, edging and garden maintenance
  • Pruning, planting and weed control
  • Pressure cleaning and maintaining tidy outdoor spaces
  • Minor handyman repairs and general property maintenance
  • Identifying maintenance issues and coordinating contractors
  • Routine vehicle inspections and fleet presentation checks
  • Coordinating vehicle servicing, repairs and registrations
  • Collecting materials and supplies for maintenance works
  • Conduct weekly fleet inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, clean and well presented, identifying any maintenance issues early
  • Coordinate fleet servicing and repairs to keep vehicles reliable and ready for use

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • You're practical, dependable and take ownership of your work.
  • You don't wait to be told what needs doing.
  • You notice problems early, take the initiative and get the job done.
  • You enjoy working outdoors.
  • You take pride in a job well done.
  • You can turn your hand to a variety of gardening and maintenance tasks.
  • You work well independently and manage your own workload.
  • You treat every home and vehicle as if it were your own.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in gardening, landscaping or property maintenance.
  • Confident using a range of tools and equipment.
  • A current Australian Driver Licence.
  • The ability to work safely and independently.

What we offer:

  • Full-time, stable employment.
  • Company vehicle during work hours.
  • Supportive and responsive team.
  • Quality equipment and tools.
  • Variety and autonomy.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the homes where people live.
