The Pasta Emporium – Artisan Handmade Pasta
The Pasta Emporium is a boutique artisan pasta store, we are family run and operated with a passion for bringing quality, tradition and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a confident, reliable and friendly Sales Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a casual position offering 25-30 hours per week, with consistent set weekday shifts only no weekends and no night work.
About the Role
This is primarily a customer-facing sales role. You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding in-store experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the shop.
This role does not involve making pasta, but you must be willing to assist in other areas of the business when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and serving customers with warmth and confidence
- Recommending products and upselling where appropriate
- Handling POS transactions accurately
- Replenishing stock and maintaining display cabinets
- Keeping the shop clean, organized and presentation-ready
- Assisting with packing orders and general shop duties
- Jumping in to help wherever needed to support the team
- Has previous hospitality or sales experience (but not essential)
- Is proactive and doesn’t wait to be told what to do
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Is reliable and takes ownership of their role
- Takes pride in presentation and store standards
- Understands that in small business, flexibility matters
