Join a growing, multi-entity professional services group that is bringing finance activity across its businesses into a more centralised structure. As Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a hands-on role across daily cash flow, group reporting and the FY26 group audit, while helping improve how the group consolidates its financial information.
What you’ll be doing:
- Review cash flow daily and follow up on any identified items for review
- Own the month-end close across multiple entities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting
- Help improve group consolidations by bringing Xero data into Excel and reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets
- Work with the team to improve and automate the consolidation process
- Support the FY26 group audit by preparing information and working with external auditors
- Assist with tax and audit work, including reviewing historical transactions and preparing supporting information
- Build a sound understanding of the group’s finance systems, entities and reporting needs
- Support and review work completed by offshore bookkeepers, helping keep reconciliations and finance tasks on track
What we’re looking for:
- Senior financial accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity business
- Strong month-end, reconciliation and group reporting skills
- Practical experience with Australian tax and audit requirements
- Experience supporting group audits and working with external auditors
- Confidence reviewing cash flow, modelling baseline scenarios and investigating transactions
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems such as Xero and/or MYOB
- Experience improving reporting, reconciliations or consolidation processes
- The ability to review and guide work completed by offshore bookkeepers
- Clear communication and a steady, organised approach
Experience in professional or technology services, recruitment, labour hire or another service business with multiple entities would be useful.
What’s on offer?
- Work closely with a finance leader who is committed to developing their team and supporting each person’s career growth.
- A broad role across daily finance, month-end, group reporting, systems and audit
- The opportunity to improve how finance is consolidated and reported across the group
