The Nest Early Education Centre has a rare opportunity for exceptional and dedicated professionals to join our established team in the role of Early Childhood Educator.
Our centre is one of the very best early learning environments to work in on the Gold Coast. We are looking for a warm and confident professional who is knowledgeable and passionate about supporting children's emotional and social development. Many of our teams are very experienced and are valued as exceptional early childhood professionals - you will be surrounded by the very best of the best ECEC specialists!
Above award remuneration is extended to all of our team members with ongoing career support. We approach our work with integrity, kindness and respect for the children. Our Image of Child is upheld in everything that we do! We are also a workplace where you are respected, appreciated and genuinely valued.
We are a proud Child Safe Organisation and uphold the National Principles for Childsafe Organisations. We support the Statement of Shared Commitment - every interaction counts. Our role is to ensure that every child feels culturally safe, nurtured and involved in positive social interactions that support their social and emotional development and foster a shared sense of belonging.
We are seeking qualified applicants who are experienced and passionate about early childhood education and who can display genuine and nurturing early childhood skills. Candidates must hold a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
You will be required to display a strong strengths-based approach to your role and have excellent communication skills, a nurturing nature, and the ability to develop strong family partnerships - these are at the core of everything we do. You need to have prior experience and be able to present a resume that clearly outlines this experience. A minimum of 2 years' prior experience in early childhood education is required.
We are only seeking positive, professional, and dedicated individuals - we love what we do and want to be surrounded by other upbeat personalities! Knowledge of the EYLF and the ability to lead the curriculum and documentation is required. If you are applying for the co-educator role, you should still have a solid understanding of the EYLF, as we use a collaborative team-based approach. An ability to interpret curriculum documents and a clear understanding of the planning cycle would also be expected.
We can provide mentoring in this process, but a willingness to upskill is desired. It would be best if you were committed to ongoing learning and professional development as this is at the core of our beliefs that as early childhood professionals, we never stop learning.
You must hold all the mandatory requirements of our legislative guidelines: blue card, first aid, child protection training and be able to commit to the centre in a long-term capacity - as consistency for the children and their families is extremely important to us and our teams become like our second family.
Australian work rights are required, with valid work visas acceptable for international candidates. The ability to work five days a week is also preferred for consistency of care for our children and families. Your resume must have references that we can call upon to validate your experience and attitude.
Our company pays over and above award conditions - we are owned by an Early Childhood Teacher who values the profession of Early Childhood and honours the work that we do. If you feel you’ll fit with our company ethos and are looking to be a part of a beautiful environment that supports you in our positive, supportive, and inclusive early learning culture, please send your resume.
