This position plays a crucial role in supporting our team of experienced drillers in the natural resources and water industry.
As a Drillers Assistant, you will be an integral part of executing critical drilling operations and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
- What you'll be doing
- Assist experienced drillers in setting up, operating and maintaining drilling equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling rigs and associated tools
- Monitor drilling operations and report any issues or concerns to the driller
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed during drilling activities
- Contribute to the efficient and timely completion of drilling projects
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve processes
What we're looking for
- Some previous experience is in drilling is desired, or have a willingness to learn
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate heavy machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with the drilling team
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays and the ability to work remotely within NSW on 2/1 roster at times.
- A current driver's license is essential, Heavy Ridged license is desired or have the willingness to obtain.
- Reside in the Dubbo region or ability to relocate for this role.
