The Elizabeth Quay Hotel & Residences is seeking enthusiastic and service-focused team members to join our Porter and Valet team ahead of the opening of Perth’s newest luxury hotel.
About the Role
As a Porter & Valet, you will provide a warm welcome and ensure a smooth arrival and departure experience for every guest. From assisting with luggage to parking and retrieving vehicles, you will deliver attentive, personalised service that reflects the hotel’s luxury standards.
As part of our pre-opening team, you will participate in training and help establish our guest service procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist with luggage on arrival and departure.
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Record vehicle movements and securely manage vehicle keys.
- Deliver luggage to guest rooms and explain room features and hotel facilities.
- Manage luggage storage, ensuring items are labelled and handled securely.
- Assist with transport arrangements, directions and local information.
- Deliver guest amenities, messages and other requested items.
- Keep the hotel entrance, driveway and luggage storage areas tidy and organised.
- Work closely with Concierge, Front Office and other departments to fulfil guest requests.
- Follow hotel safety procedures and promptly report incidents or vehicle damage.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Porter, Valet or in a guest service role is highly regarded.
- A current driver’s licence valid in Western Australia and a safe driving record.
- Confidence driving and parking a range of vehicles; the ability to drive manual vehicles is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for guest service.
- A professional presentation and a positive, team-focused approach.
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the role, including handling luggage.
- Strong attention to detail and care when handling guest belongings and vehicles.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
