Laurent Bakery has always been driven by love and respect for the craft of French artisan baking and exists as a homage to the values of a village bakery. Our cafes are a Melbourne staple when it comes to French quality products with over 30 years history around our beautiful cakes, scrumptious pastries and mouth watering sandwiches and croques. We have a new exciting opportunity for an experienced Food and Beverage attendant in our booming East Melbourne location.
Responsibilities
- As a cafe attendant at Laurent Bakery, you will work collaboratively with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure stores and company objectives are achieved.
- You will be trained to work across multiple stations in our café, supporting the team effort to achieve high standards in customer service, product quality and luxury café experience.
- The role will involve learning to be a cafe all-rounder by rotating through stations such as food processing, floor service providing an amazing customer experience, coffee making and working as a team to maintain hygiene, cleanliness and French luxury standards.
- A key aspect of this role includes making our delicious sandwiches.
What you will bring
- Previous experience in hospitality is required.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen preparing food is highly regarded.
- Hands on mindset and high energy to keep with the fast paced environment of our cafes.
- Deliver and maintain the highest level of customer experience.
- High personal standards in providing superior customer service.
- You need to be flexible in the roster and shifts may include opens and closes.
- Weekend and public holiday work will be required.
- Previous barista experience is also an advantage.
