The venue features multiple dining areas, event spaces, and a high-volume kitchen that consistently delivers exceptional dining experiences.
Emu Hall is currently seeking a skilled Cooks to support its expanding operations and maintain the high standards expected across its busy service periods.
Salary Range: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD
Location: 2/26 Great Western Hwy, Emu Plains NSW 2750, Australia
Key Responsibilities
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment to produce high-quality meals.
- Portion and prepare ingredients, including meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and accompaniments.
- Ensure all dishes meet required taste, texture, and presentation standards before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
- Store food properly, rotate stock, and monitor freshness to minimise wastage.
- Assist with menu preparations, including mise en place and daily food production.
- Follow kitchen procedures and support smooth service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Ability to prepare a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skill
