You could be serving coffee and food, helping a traveller choose a souvenir, introducing someone to a local product or keeping our shop looking welcoming and beautifully presented.
Key responsibilities
- Giving every customer a happy, warm and friendly welcome
- Serving food, drinks and treats, and helping with food preparation
- Helping customers discover our merchandise, local produce and gifts
- Operating the till, replenishing stock and maintaining displays
- Keeping service areas clean, organised and ready for a busy day
- Sharing a little of the Dog's history and your local knowledge with visitors
About you
- Enjoys people and starts a conversation naturally
- Notices the little things and offers help without waiting to be asked
- Is reliable, practical and happy to pitch in
- Takes pride in presentation and works well with a team
- Can keep a positive attitude when things get busy
- Available to work weekends and during holiday periods, including school holidays and public holidays
- Experience in hospitality, retail or coffee making would be welcome, but a great attitude and willingness to learn matter just as much
